Platform Engineer

Job Description

Design and develop foundational cloud-native platforms on GCP. Create shareable templates for data access, storage, and environments. Empower data teams with self-service onboarding. Combine Okta with GCP IAM and Snowflake. Enforce SSO, RBAC, and least privilege access. Automate user provisioning and lifecycle management. Incorporate PII tagging, masking, and column-level security. Use BigQuery policy tags and Snowflake tagging. Uphold compliance, governance, and auditability. Automate access control, provisioning, and metadata management. Employ Terraform, Python, SQL, and CI/CD pipelines. Track platform usage, data quality, and access. Develop audit mechanisms, logging, and alerting.

Qualifications

1. Must have 8+ years in Data Engineering or Platform. 2. Must have 3+ years in cloud-based data platforms. 3. Proficiency in GCP (BigQuery, GCS, IAM). 4. Proficiency in Snowflake (RBAC, governance, performance tuning). 5. Experience with BigQuery (policy tags, partitioning, external tables). 6. Experience with Okta (SSO, federation, lifecycle management). 7. Expertise in Python, SQL, Terraform. 8. Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Bitbucket preferred).
