Payments Consultant – Direct Sales

Job Description

Engage in prospecting and acquiring new merchant clients across various sectors, including Retail, Hospitality, Healthcare, and the Public Sector. Conduct engaging product demonstrations, effectively conveying the value proposition of our MPS solutions. Manage a dynamic sales pipeline, leveraging Salesforce and other CRM tools for optimal efficiency. Skillfully negotiate pricing and contract terms to successfully close deals. Cultivate and sustain robust, enduring client relationships. Implement effective customer retention strategies aimed at minimizing churn and enhancing overall satisfaction. Act as a trusted advisor to clients, delivering tailored insights and solutions to address their unique business needs. Identify and pursue promising opportunities within high-growth geographies and verticals. Remain up-to-date on industry trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory changes. Ensure strict compliance with internal controls and promotional offer guidelines. Maintain meticulous records of all sales activities and customer interactions.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. 2. Two to three years of relevant sales experience. 3. Ability to travel. 4. 3-5 years of experience in direct sales, preferably in payments, financial services, or SaaS. 5. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. 6. Strong understanding of merchant services and payment processing. 7. Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. 8. Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms. 9. Familiarity with MPS platforms and U.S. Bank distribution channels is a plus. 10. Regional market expertise in the Southeast U.S. is a plus.
