Job Description

Seeking a skilled Outpatient Hospital Coder to accurately abstract ICD-10 diagnosis, HCPCS, and CPT procedural codes from hospital cases. This role is crucial for maintaining revenue integrity through diligent charge review and resolving coding validation and claim edits. Effective utilization of hospital encoding systems and resources is essential.

Qualifications

1. Associate degree or 2 years of college in Health Information Management, or equivalent experience (2 years in professional or outpatient facility coding). 2. AHIMA certification: RHIT, RHIA, CCS, or CCS-P; or AAPC certification: CPC, COC, CRC, or CPMA. 3. Pediatric acute care setting experience preferred.
