Job Description

Join Datadog as an Open Source Program Developer and contribute to the open-source community. You will: - Build and maintain tools to simplify the creation and release of Open Source software at Datadog. - Develop and maintain tools to facilitate the integration of Open Source software within Datadog. - Create developer-focused documentation and training materials on contributing to and maintaining open-source projects. - Engage with open-source communities to understand market problems and trends. - Develop tools for automated analysis and reporting on Open Source repository trends and statistics. - Collaborate with Datadog Open Source Partners candidates and recipients to select relevant projects and ensure program effectiveness. - Research and create content for the Datadog Open Source Hub. - Provide product feedback (bugs, enhancements), documentation, and code contributions.

Qualifications

Key requirements for the Open Source Program Developer: 1. 3+ years of experience as a software developer, SRE, or related role. 2. Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Python, JavaScript, Java, Go, C#, or Rust. 3. Passion for building tools that enhance engineer productivity. 4. Strong empathy, collaboration, and communication skills for effective teamwork. 5. (Bonus) Active participation in an open-source community. 6. (Bonus) Familiarity with Open Source licenses and Contributor License Agreements.
