Job Description

The Oncology Account Manager is responsible for driving the successful launch of Avutometinib and Defactinib within Verastem Oncology. The role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders in oncology. Key responsibilities include: 1. Mastering product clinical knowledge and effectively communicating the value proposition of Avutometinib and Defactinib. 2. Meeting business objectives while adhering to compliance guidelines. 3. Maintaining a deep understanding of the oncology marketplace. 4. Developing and executing well-designed business plans aligned with brand strategic imperatives. 5. Identifying and analyzing trends in a complex buying environment. 6. Collaborating with stakeholders to support patients throughout their journey. 7. Actively participating in training programs to enhance personal and team skills.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications: 1. A minimum of a BA/BS degree is required. 2. At least 5 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical sales. 3. A minimum of 3 years of experience in Oncology and/or Rare Disease. 4. Experience in Women's Health or GYN/Oncology is preferred. 5. Experience with oral drugs is preferred. 6. Ability to travel as required, potentially including overnight and weekend travel (approximately 50% overnight travel). 7. Excellent written and oral communication skills. 8. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills. 9. Ability to meet customer credentialing and safety requirements. 10. A passionate and self-motivated attitude. 11. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
