Job Description

Seeking an OEM Data Partnerships Manager to define and execute a robust data partnerships strategy, aligning with the company's long-term valuation objectives. Responsibilities include identifying and engaging with data stakeholders across the automotive sector, such as OEMs, insurers, DMS vendors, and public institutions. Build customized strategies for each stakeholder, with an emphasis on strategic advantages for OEMs. Successfully negotiate and establish data partnerships that provide direct access to vehicle history via VIN. Lead intricate negotiations and manage extended sales cycles with prominent industry figures. Cultivate and sustain a network of crucial contacts within the European automotive landscape. Stay informed on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory updates, including GDPR and vehicle data access rights. Collaborate with the tech team to ensure seamless integration of new data sources. Establish and oversee dashboards to monitor KPIs related to data partnerships. Represent the data partnerships function with the CEO and actively contribute to strategic decision-making processes.

Qualifications

1. Requires 15+ years of experience in the automotive industry or automotive data space. 2. Must have an established network with OEMs and key industry players (insurers, DMS, public institutions). 3. Proven experience in negotiating and signing at least one data partnership with an OEM. 4. In-depth knowledge of the automotive data ecosystem: OEMs, DMS, insurance, public sources. 5. Solid understanding of contractual and regulatory frameworks around vehicle data (GDPR, data access, data sharing agreements). 6. Ability to discuss integration topics with a technical team (APIs, data formats, data volumes). 7. Strong analytical skills: KPI tracking, partnership performance measurement. 8. Strong commercial / biz dev mindset - you know how to convince and close. 9. Leadership and strategic vision: you can navigate long sales cycles and complex negotiations. 10. High autonomy: able to own a project from A to Z without micro-management. 11. Comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment where everything is to be built. 12. Excellent communication skills: you can adapt your discourse from an OEM executive to an integration engineer. 13. English: fluent (mandatory) - the market is European. 14. French: fluent (preferred) - a significant share of our business is in France. 15. German: a plus.
