Mid-Level Software Developer

Job Description

Seeking a skilled Software Developer to design, develop, and enhance software in an agile environment. You will maintain and support a legacy Java Spring Framework application with a JavaScript frontend. Responsibilities include writing reusable, testable, and efficient code, troubleshooting software issues, and applying emerging automated build, test, and deployment capabilities. You'll also address system integration problems, consult with project teams, and assist in evaluating software packages and tools. This role involves resolving software issues, responding to improvement suggestions, and updating Java Spring applications for compatibility. Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Minimum 5 years of experience developing with Java and Javascript in an agile environment. 2. Experience with full stack development, Java Spring Framework, and modern JavaScript frameworks. 3. Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution in computer science, computer engineering, or closely related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. 4. Agile scrum experience. 5. Ability to lead and work effectively within a team. 6. Excellent oral and written communication skills. 7. Experience working in a highly regulated environment. 8. Experience with microservice development and support. 9. Must be willing to undergo a background check to obtain a Public Trust security clearance. 10. Must be a U.S. citizen.
