Microsoft 365 Administrator
Job Description
We're looking for a Microsoft 365 Administrator to manage and maintain our Microsoft-based IT infrastructure. This includes Windows Server, Windows 11, Entra ID, Active Directory, Intune, Exchange, and Office 365. Key responsibilities: Oversee the deployment, configuration, and support of existing and future Microsoft technology migrations. Perform regular updates, backups, and troubleshooting to ensure systems run smoothly and securely. Manage user roles, permissions, and access controls to maintain a secure IT environment. Collaborate with stakeholders to support various projects and initiatives. Provide technical expertise and ensure servers, endpoints, and Microsoft services are effectively integrated into the organization's overall IT strategy. Monitor system performance and address any issues that arise. Implement and manage security policies to meet organizational baselines, executive directives, and security requirements. Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations and procedures. Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff. Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Manage software deployment and updates through tools like SCCM and Intune. Implement and maintain monitoring systems for proactive and reactive support. Participate in on-call schedules and patch rotations to ensure continuous system availability. Maintain M365 Conditional Access Policies.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 2. Seven years of experience in relevant IT areas, including end-user systems support, automated server builds, cloud-based deployments, and data center deployments. 3. Demonstrated experience in engineering, migration, troubleshooting, and support of Entra ID, Active Directory, Exchange Online O365, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Azure. 4. Public trust security clearance. Preferred Skills: Microsoft (MS) Certified Solutions Associate or similar Microsoft certifications appropriate to the technologies listed above are preferred. Soft Skills: Organizational Skills: Ability to plan and prioritize work, follow tasks to completion, and maintain attention to detail. Team Work: Ability to inspire and maintain project interest, work both individually and as part of a team, and constructively challenge ideas. Communications: Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently to team members and clients, both verbally and in writing. Excellent active listening skills. Quantitative Management: Ability to determine process measures and track process effectiveness and efficiency. Results-oriented: Ability to drive things forward regardless of personal interest in the task.
