Medical Assistant I, Bilingual – Spanish

Job Description

As a Bilingual Medical Assistant, you'll be instrumental in supporting our Oscar Primary Care team through various key functions: - Provide real-time video support for patient check-ins and check-outs. - Deliver immediate assistance to patients via phone and messaging. - Work closely with our Care Team, including virtual physicians, APPs, and RNs, to optimize patient care. - Proactively plan for each patient's medical needs, from initial contact and care coordination to issue resolution. - Facilitate the order process by submitting requisition forms and coordinating necessary referrals. - Maintain thorough communication with providers post-referral, ensuring all patient notes are collected and updated. - Efficiently schedule patient appointments for essential follow-up care. - Communicate with providers and facilities to clarify information and address complex patient cases. - Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure comprehensive patient needs are met, including laboratories, imaging facilities, pharmacies, and vendors. - Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations. - Fulfill other duties as assigned to support the team and patient care.

Qualifications

To be considered for the Bilingual Medical Assistant position, candidates must meet the following criteria: 1. Possess at least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a primary care, urgent care, or multi-specialty clinic setting. 2. Demonstrate Spanish language proficiency (reading, writing, and speaking). 3. Hold a Medical Assistant Certification or Diploma.
