Job Description
Provide expert legal advice and guidance to the Claims Department, addressing legal issues and questions as they arise. Offer counsel to the Claims Organization on intricate claims and significant losses. Develop and deliver training programs to educate the Claims Organization on evolving legal trends. Collaborate with business partners and in-house legal teams to formulate well-informed recommendations. Offer legal counsel on high-exposure, complex insurance claims to mitigate risks and ensure compliance. Draft attorney conditional demand responses with precision and adherence to legal standards.
Qualifications
1. Possess a Juris Doctorate degree. 2. Be licensed to practice law and maintain good standing within the State of Practice. 3. Have 7 or more years of legal experience in claims. 4. Possess 3 or more years of coverage experience. 5. Demonstrate strong project management skills. 6. Be skilled at collaborating effectively with personnel at all organizational levels. 7. Be proficient in computer applications, including the Microsoft Office Suite. 8. Have familiarity with LexisNexis or comparable research platforms. 9. Have demonstrated coverage experience. 10. Have experience handling complex attorney conditional demands in multiple jurisdictions.
