Manager, Workplace Violence and Threat Management
Job Description
Manage and implement the company's Workplace Violence Prevention and Threat Management program, including policies, standards, protocols, and reporting tools. Serve as the main contact for threat assessments, assessing behaviors, determining risks, and suggesting mitigation strategies. Collaborate with HR, Legal, Security Operations, and business leaders on sensitive employee situations, terminations, facility incidents, and safety issues. Lead or assist in investigations related to threats, harassment, intimidation, or concerning behaviors. Coordinate with external agencies like law enforcement and mental health professionals for case management. Conduct training on workplace violence prevention, threat reporting, and de-escalation. Maintain documentation, dashboards, and metrics for threat cases and program effectiveness. Regularly review security controls and physical security enhancements. Stay updated on legal and industry standards, advising on program improvements. Support crisis response planning and provide expertise during incidents involving threats or violence.
Qualifications
1. Requires a University Degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with at least 5 years of experience. 2. U.S. citizenship is mandatory for security clearance eligibility. 3. Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance. 4. 5–8+ years of experience in workplace violence prevention, corporate security, behavioral threat assessment, law enforcement, or a related area. 5. Proven experience in conducting threat assessments and handling complex, sensitive cases. 6. Professional certifications are highly desirable (e.g., ATAP membership, CTM, Certified Threat Manager, CPP, PCI, or similar). 7. Strong knowledge of behavioral threat assessment methodologies and best practices for workplace violence prevention. 8. Excellent judgment, discretion, and the ability to manage highly confidential and sensitive situations. 9. Strong communication skills to effectively partner with HR, Legal, Compliance, and business leadership. 10. Ability to maintain composure, remain analytical, and focus on solutions during high-stress situations. 11. Must be able to travel 25% of the time and possess a passport.
