Job Description

Spearhead the subcontracting strategy for designated programs, formulating comprehensive subcontract management plans and directing supplier discussions to identify innovative subcontracted solutions that fulfill customer requirements. Act as a trusted business advisor to internal stakeholders, delivering valuable market insights, supply chain strategies, and proactive support to various business units. Strategize and oversee supplier negotiations, partnering closely with Supply Chain Contract Managers to develop and negotiate subcontract agreements and all pertinent contractual documentation. Spearhead subcontractor proposal preparation and effectively manage moderately to highly complex subcontracts throughout the entire program lifecycle, ensuring strict alignment with cost, quality, and schedule objectives. Evaluate subcontract performance against established proposal commitments by leading routine supplier meetings, closely monitoring production and delivery performance, and providing timely program status updates to internal stakeholders and leadership. Maintain comprehensive oversight of all subcontracted products and services for assigned programs, proactively managing obsolete parts, monitoring production performance, ensuring on-time delivery, and considering future product or service roadmap implications. Serve as the primary point of contact for all subcontract-related matters, cultivating robust relationships with program management teams while maintaining vigilance across a diverse portfolio of programs and representing the company in interactions with supplier leadership. Uphold strict compliance with company policies, customer specifications, and all relevant government regulations, meticulously interpreting and enforcing subcontract policies, procedures, and contractual requirements. Offer invaluable leadership and strategic direction for all subcontract-related activities across major programs, directly supervising Subcontract Administrators, Buyers, and Supply Chain Contract Managers and leading internal and customer cadence reviews. Assume responsibility for the overall program cost, schedule, and risk associated with subcontract scope on programs exceeding $50M, meticulously identifying qualified suppliers, developing new supply sources as needed, and ensuring optimal supplier performance on programs of moderate to high complexity.

Qualifications

1. A university degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience are typically required. Alternatively, an advanced degree in a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience may be considered. 2. Experience in Program Management or cross-functional program teams.
