Job Description

Join Kraken as a License Operations & Strategy Manager to drive the company's licensing operations strategy, balancing operational excellence with commercial outcomes and product launches. Build business and operational models for new product launches, market entries, and licensing pathways. Translate regulatory milestones into business opportunities and evaluate strategic partnerships for scalability and regulatory efficiency. You'll drive the execution of regulatory projects, coordinate across departments, and leverage generative AI tools to streamline workflows. Also, you will provide strategic recommendations on developing regulatory regimes and support regulatory deliverables. Oversee outsourcing arrangements, measure performance, and ensure adherence to regulatory standards. This role requires leading cross-functional teams and delivering strategic updates to executives and the board, linking regulatory progress to market positioning.

Qualifications

1. 5–8 years in consulting, strategy, or operations leadership, preferably in financial services, fintech, or crypto. 2. Proven experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives with a commercial or regulatory focus. 3. Understanding of EU regulatory frameworks (EMRs, MiCAR, MiFID II, PSD2, AMLD5/6, DORA, etc.). 4. Strong grasp of business and financial models to quantify the impact of regulatory design on revenue, cost, and scalability. 5. Deep experience in outsourcing oversight, vendor performance, and regulatory submissions. 6. Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and executive communication skills. 7. Commercially astute, connecting regulatory compliance with business growth and customer trust. 8. Operates with a consulting mindset: structured, analytical, and action-oriented. 9. Thrives in ambiguity and moves quickly from concept to execution. 10. Collaborative, low-ego, and able to influence senior stakeholders. 11. Passionate about crypto, innovation, and responsible scaling in regulated environments.
