Lead Software Engineer
Job Description
We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of software engineers in the delivery of complex software systems, emphasizing backend and integration systems development. You'll use technologies such as GraphQL, Apollo, Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, RESTful APIs, and data pipelines. You'll design and build distributed systems and integrations using AWS components like EKS, Lambda, S3, MSK, and Aurora. You'll also define and maintain architectural standards, ensuring systems remain scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise constraints. In addition, you will champion engineering operational excellence, promoting a DevOps and cloud-first mindset. You will translate requirements into epics, stories, and technical plans. Mentoring developers, ensuring clear technical documentation, and collaborating within an Agile team are also key aspects of this role.
Qualifications
1. 2+ years of experience as a tech lead. 2. 3+ years of experience as a senior software engineer. 3. 7+ years of software development experience including 3+ years of TypeScript and Node.js. 4. 2+ years of experience working with GraphQL. 5. Strong experience developing, deploying, and supporting systems in AWS. 6. Strong SQL skills. 7. Working knowledge of at least one frontend JavaScript framework. 8. Experience building and improving CI/CD pipelines. 9. Full application stack development experience. 10. Full software lifecycle participation. 11. Linux command line proficiency. 12. Strong understanding of software engineering practices. 13. Strong communication skills. 14. Passionate about the work. 15. Ability to learn quickly. 16. Detail-oriented. 17. High integrity and quality of work ethic. 18. Self-motivated to solve problems. 19. Excellent communication skills.
