Join Muck Rack as a Lead Software Engineer and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our AI-powered platform. You'll design, develop, and refine high-throughput data pipelines, transforming unstructured content into structured, enriched datasets. Your expertise will drive technical direction, ensuring scalability and reliability across our ingestion systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data quality and build distributed, event-driven systems with strong observability. Mentor fellow engineers, lead impactful initiatives, and contribute to a culture of innovation.
Qualifications
1. 8+ years of software engineering experience. 2. Experience in designing, building, and operating distributed systems, data pipelines, or event-driven architectures at scale. 3. Strong proficiency in Python or a similar backend programming language. 4. Experience building and maintaining reliable, observable, and scalable microservices. 5. Experience with streaming technologies like Kafka, Kinesis, or similar. 6. Experience with APIs and service communication patterns like gRPC and Protocol Buffers. 7. Experience working with large-scale data systems or high-throughput SaaS platforms. 8. Expertise with relational or search databases like MySQL, Postgres, Elasticsearch, or OpenSearch. 9. Experience making technical tradeoffs in distributed systems related to performance, reliability, and maintainability.
