Lead Finance Specialist – Accounting Operations

Job Description

In this role, you will: * Oversee all financial aspects of project accounting, including project setup, actuals booking, revenue recognition, manual journal entries, project closing, and reconciliations for assigned projects. * Partner cross-functionally with segment operations teams and fulfillment leaders in the pacing process to deliver a baseline financial case to ITR Finance, facilitating risk and opportunity management. * Collaborate with the Regional Fossil ITR leader with a focus on project execution. * Maintain accurate financials and ensure precision in project planning within the ERP system. * Manage monthly and quarterly closing activities, ensuring financials comply with US GAAP and local requirements. * Take responsibility for pacing submissions, identifying potential risks and opportunities. * Provide support to the ITR team during all planning cycles. * Implement global standards across key financial processes. * Drive LEAN activities within the finance function and support business transformation initiatives. * Conduct balance sheet reviews and ensure accuracy for project accounts. * Provide support for Statutory Audits, addressing project-related requests.

Qualifications

1. Minimum of 2 years of experience working with SAP. 2. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university or college, or a related discipline. 3. Strong expertise in Project Controlling. 4. Strong technical finance acumen, including in-depth knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles. 5. Solid understanding of key operational disciplines, including project management & planning, sourcing, contract management, engineering, construction & commissioning, tax, and legal aspects. 6. Familiarity with local regulations. 7. Demonstrated integrity: accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and interactions with others.
