Job Description

Join US Foods as a Lead Data Scientist and drive impactful solutions using AI and advanced analytics. Collaborate with senior stakeholders across Sales, Merchandising, Marketing, and Digital departments to identify and prioritize business problems. Oversee the delivery of solutions such as eCommerce personalization, recommendation systems, and advanced marketing analytics. Ensure solutions are production-ready and drive measurable revenue and customer experience impact. Lead and develop high-performing teams of data scientists, focusing on innovation and talent development. Shape the commercial analytics and AI roadmap, influencing decision-making through statistical experimentation.

Qualifications

1. Requires six or more years of experience in advanced analytics, data science, or applied machine learning, with progressive leadership. 2. Experience needed in deploying applied AI solutions on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS SageMaker and Bedrock), including LLM-based and agentic architectures. 3. Must have experience guiding teams in Python-based data science ecosystems and collaborative development practices. 4. Familiarity with modern agentic coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) is essential. 5. Strong command of machine learning, optimization methods, and statistical experimentation is necessary. 6. Should have a business-oriented analytical mindset with a high bar for rigor and reliability. 7. Must be a clear communicator able to influence senior leaders with data-driven insights.
