Lead Data Engineer, Snowflake – Data Platform

Job Description

Join our team as a Lead Data Engineer and take the helm of data engineering initiatives, shaping the architectural direction for our Data Platform. You'll be instrumental in the design, construction, and optimization of scalable Data Warehouses and data workflows leveraging Snowflake. Your responsibilities will include deploying, monitoring, and maintaining reliable data pipelines within a production environment. You will also be bridging the gap between Data Engineering and DevOps by configuring and maintaining AWS infrastructure. Employ automation to streamline infrastructure and application deployments using tools like Terraform, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines. Work independently while encouraging teamwork, providing guidance to colleagues, and promoting adherence to industry best practices.

Qualifications

1. Must have 4+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer in a Senior capacity. 2. Proven experience in team leadership or technical management. 3. Deep, relevant experience with Snowflake, Data Warehouses, and Data Platforms. 4. Strong background in building and maintaining complex ETL/ELT data pipelines in production. 5. Practical DevOps mindset with hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure (AWS). 6. Proficiency with Terraform or Docker, and CI/CD pipelines. 7. Solid skills with Git and modern development workflows. 8. Experience in the Pharma industry is a plus.
