Lead Architect
Job Description
Lead the strategy, design, and governance of the bank's integration architecture, promoting scalable and secure connectivity between core banking systems (Temenos Transact) and the broader tech ecosystem, encompassing digital channels, fintech integrations, and third-party systems. Define integration architecture that leverages APIs, microservices, and event-driven designs to connect effectively with Temenos Transact. Design a flexible banking ecosystem, which minimizes dependencies on the core banking platform. Select and govern integration patterns, including API Gateway, Event Bus, Orchestration Services, and ESB. Design and enforce strategies for high availability, resilience, scalability, and observability within the architecture. Propose hybrid and cloud-native architectural blueprints that align with the bank’s overall technology strategy. Establish clear API governance standards, covering versioning, security protocols, traffic throttling, and monitoring practices. Define and maintain comprehensive guidelines for development, integration processes, testing methodologies, and environment configurations. Oversee and govern integrations with third-party vendors, fintech partners, and various digital channels. Ensure strict alignment with Temenos Transact best practices, particularly regarding the API framework and contract mapping. Actively prevent any unnecessary customization or over-engineering within the core banking platform. Provide strong technical leadership to development, integration, and DevOps teams working on integration projects. Review architectural designs to ensure technical quality and facilitate knowledge sharing across teams. Coordinate API enablement and broader digital transformation initiatives, driving adoption and innovation.
