Junior FP&A Analyst
Job Description
As a Junior FP&A Analyst, you'll be instrumental in building and maintaining financial models across various client projects. Your responsibilities include supporting the preparation of monthly financial reporting packages, insightful dashboards, and detailed variance analysis, comparing actuals against budget and forecasts. You'll also aid in developing annual budgets and rolling forecasts for clients in diverse industries. Your analytical skills will shine as you conduct business performance analysis, pinpointing trends, risks, and opportunities using financial and operational data. Furthermore, you will contribute to designing and maintaining KPI dashboards and management reporting tools. Supporting fundraising and investor relations will involve creating financial projections, cap table modeling, and preparing data rooms. Researching industry benchmarks and contributing to market and competitive analysis will also be key. You'll work closely with senior team members to transform financial insights into actionable recommendations for founders and executives.
Qualifications
1. 1 to 2 years of experience in FP&A, financial consulting, audit, or investment banking. 2. Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or Accounting. 3. English proficiency at a professional level is required given the nature of client work. 4. Strong command of Excel and/or Google Sheets — financial modeling is a core part of the role. 5. Familiarity with accounting fundamentals — P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statements. 6. Experience or strong interest in FP&A, business modeling, or management reporting. 7. Exposure to BI or data visualization tools (Power BI, Looker, or similar) is a plus. 8. Familiarity with tools like QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting platforms is a plus. 9. SQL basics or willingness to learn is valued. 10. High autonomy and ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously. 11. Intellectual curiosity and eagerness to learn across diverse industries. 12. Strong communication skills — able to present financial information clearly to non-finance audiences. 13. Comfort with ambiguity and fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments. 14. Detail-oriented with strong analytical thinking
