Junior Content Editor – Medical Industry

Job Description

We are looking for a Junior Content Editor to join our team! In this role, you will: • Review magazines and other sources to identify studies relevant for news coverage. • Generate and develop unique story ideas. • Assign and coordinate news coverage with freelance writers. • Edit articles to ensure clarity, accuracy, and editorial standards. • Select and request translations as needed. • Write news stories and features when required. • Produce and manage newsletters. • Monitor CMS publishing workflows and troubleshoot publishing issues. • Coordinate freelance journalists, translators, and copy editors. • Create, review, and schedule organic and advertising content on social media. • Track and report content performance metrics (e.g., page views, sessions). • Support the Senior Editor and act as backup when necessary.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have: 1. Bachelor's degree in journalism, communication, or a related field. 2. Minimum 2 years of experience in medical journalism or related areas. 3. Strong medical writing and editing skills (preferred). 4. Native or fluent Spanish and professional proficiency in English. 5. High attention to detail and strong organizational skills. 6. Ability to meet tight deadlines in a dynamic work environment. 7. Comfort working remotely and collaborating with global teams.
