Interoperability Product Owner
Job Description
Lead the oversight for compliance audits and initiatives related to interoperability. Actively participate in the Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement (TEFCA), anticipating changes and implications for data retrieval and sharing. Collaborate with teams to establish data sharing agreements that meet compliance needs. Serve as the main point of contact between compliance and business teams, translating interoperability needs into actionable requirements. Educate internal teams on compliance impacts and operational changes. Oversee vendor and internal builds to ensure compliance with CMS mandates, and represent compliance posture with external entities. Write requirements and drive alignment across business and IT on FHIR endpoints. Ensure data readiness to meet CMS timelines and support prior authorization changes. Monitor CMS's expanding mandate roadmap and identify opportunities beyond compliance. Perform job-related duties as requested.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree is required. 2. Master's degree is preferred. 3. Equivalent years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of required education. 4. Five (5) years experience in healthcare interoperability, compliance, or regulatory environment required. 5. Strong analytical, decision making, and problem-solving skills. 6. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations, Interoperability mandates, EDI, and CMS guidelines including CMS-0057-F. 7. Deep knowledge of FHIR APIs, OAuth2 security frameworks, and payer-to-payer exchange requirements. 8. Ability to interpret and apply CMS implementation guides and translate regulatory requirements into business and technical requirements. 9. Excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. 10. Ability to work across and align multiple teams. 11. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
