Job Description

Become a Hybrid Cloud Engineer at Leidos! In this role, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing virtual cloud server infrastructures across hybrid environments, integrating infrastructure automation within a DevSecOps framework, and applying security best practices. You'll also collaborate with cross-functional teams, troubleshoot issues, and mentor junior engineers, ensuring optimal performance and security in cloud operations. Key responsibilities include: 1. Designing, deploying, and managing virtual cloud server infrastructures across hybrid environments (on-premises and cloud). 2. Maintaining and optimizing virtualization platforms. 3. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provision, maintain, and scale cloud resources. 4. Troubleshooting issues and performing root cause analysis. 5. Working within a DEVSECOPS framework. 6. Supporting CI/CD pipelines and integrating infrastructure automation. 7. Configuring and maintaining monitoring tools. 8. Applying security best practices to protect hybrid cloud infrastructures. 9. Providing tier-2/3 support for escalated issues. 10. Mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following qualifications: 1. Must be a US Citizen with a current Secret Clearance. 2. Possess an Active DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher certification (e.g., Security+). 3. Have a BS degree and 8 – 12 years of relevant experience in hybrid cloud environments, or a Masters degree with 6 – 10 years of relevant experience. 4. Demonstrate proficiency with virtualization technologies like VMware, Hyper-V, or OpenStack. 5. Have strong knowledge of public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. 6. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation. 7. Understanding of containerization (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes). 8. Familiarity with networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, VPNs, and firewalls. 9. Working knowledge of DevSecOps principles and practices.
