Head of Technology, Ink

Job Description

Assume a leadership role for a team of engineers and workflow experts. Work intimately with INK leadership, including Producers, Directors/Creators, Artists, and Technical Directors, to guide technology investments that amplify creative ambitions. Provide technical vision for INK’s complete production pipeline. Spearhead research into adaptable inference and training technologies and define data governance policies. Partner with Netflix infrastructure, IT, and security teams to deliver a seamless production environment.

Qualifications

1. Possess over 12 years of technology experience within animation, VFX, gaming, or related digital content sectors. 2. Demonstrate 7+ years in management with strategic leadership, guiding multidisciplinary engineering/technical teams. 3. Exhibit proven expertise in designing and managing comprehensive content pipelines for animation, VFX, or real-time applications. 4. Have a firm grasp of Generative AI or ML-driven workflows. 5. Demonstrate proficiency in constructing and maintaining secure, multi-tenant environments for diverse shows. 6. Be familiar with current and emerging software development techniques and AI-assisted coding solutions. 7. Communicate complex technical ideas to non-technical audiences effectively. 8. Display strong financial and strategic understanding. 9. Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Animation Technology, or a relevant field; or equivalent professional experience. 10. Possessing an advanced degree is advantageous.
