Head of Strategic Procurement, Pharmaceuticals
Job Description
Take the lead in the strategic procurement of pharmaceuticals and actively shape the procurement strategy. Provide expert technical and disciplinary leadership to a focused team. Manage and develop the strategic sourcing of pharmaceuticals. Independently negotiate and finalize supplier contracts. Guarantee medicine availability, including proactive stockout management. Maintain close coordination with hospital pharmacies through regular communication. Analyze and keep track of national and international procurement markets. Identify and assess new suppliers and conduct supplier outreach discussions when necessary. Enhance procurement processes and structures in a growing business sector. Report directly to Executive Management.
Qualifications
1. Hold a university degree in Pharmacy or a comparable business/economics degree with knowledge of the pharmaceutical sector. 2. Possess several years of professional and leadership experience in strategic procurement, ideally in the healthcare sector. 3. Exhibit strong strategic and commercial thinking. 4. Demonstrate a high level of personal responsibility and a structured, solution-oriented working style. 5. Display confident negotiation skills, assertiveness, and a professional presence. 6. Possess excellent communication skills and team orientation. 7. Have very good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel. 8. Knowledge of AMOR and SAP BW is an advantage. 9. Demonstrate good English skills; additional foreign languages are advantageous.
