Job Description
Spearhead end-to-end procurement of components and goods for Ajax Systems' global manufacturing operations, ensuring seamless material coverage across all factories. Define and implement a robust global procurement and material management strategy, featuring a clear roadmap for sourcing and cost optimization. Supervise the logistics function, aligning closely with procurement and production, while overseeing the planning function to ensure accurate demand and supply alignment. Lead supplier negotiations, focusing on pricing, terms, capacity, and long-term partnerships. Proactively address supplier issues, ensuring swift resolution of risks and effective supply risk mitigation. Take ownership of cost performance and procurement KPIs, driving savings, payment terms improvement, and cost optimization without sacrificing quality. Manage the contract framework with strategic suppliers, ensuring commercial, legal, and operational alignment. Drive supplier sourcing, qualification, and long-term development strategy to meet global manufacturing needs. Lead, develop, and scale a high-performing material management organization of 30+ professionals. Champion software development, automation, and digital tools to streamline procurement, planning, and material flow processes. Strive for an optimal balance of availability, timing, cost, and quality across the global supply chain.
Qualifications
1. Extensive experience in procurement/material management within a global manufacturing setting. 2. Proven leadership in managing large, cross-functional teams (30+ people) in complex global environments. 3. Direct accountability for a procurement budget exceeding €200M. 4. Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end supply chains, planning, and global supplier networks. 5. Strong commercial and financial acumen, encompassing cost ownership and budget management. 6. Exceptional negotiation skills with global suppliers and strategic partners. 7. High level of ownership and accountability. 8. Familiarity with GTD (Getting Things Done) or similar execution-focused management methodologies. 9. Fluent English proficiency. 10. Willingness to travel extensively as required by a global role.
