Geophysical Data Processor

Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Geophysical Data Processor to enhance our munitions response program. In this role, you will: - Manage and monitor geophysical data acquisition using advanced electromagnetic induction (EMI) instruments. - Process and analyze geophysical data for digital and AGC mapping surveys. - Mentor and provide technical guidance to professional staff. - Design and implement geophysical investigation plans for CERCLA and RCRA regulatory programs. - Select and utilize geophysical instruments, global navigation satellite systems, inertial motion sensors, and LiDAR positioning systems. - Prepare planning documents like Munitions Response Quality Assurance Project Plans (MR-QAPP). - Conduct site visits as needed.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have: 1. A Bachelor’s degree in geophysics, geology, or a related field. 2. 6 years of munitions response geophysical experience, or equivalent experience and education. 3. A valid U.S. Driver’s License. 4. Ability to pass a background check and motor vehicle records check. 5. U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency. 6. Proficiency in Geosoft Oasis montaj UXO Land and UX-Analyze modules. 7. (Preferred) A Master’s degree in geophysics, geology, or a related field. 8. Ability to develop and oversee quality procedures for EMI data acquisition and analysis. 9. Experience with one-pass AGC data processing and analysis. 10. Familiarity with current MMRP guidance for geophysical surveys. 11. Experience writing Geosoft Oasis montaj scripts and Python coding. 12. Strong leadership and communication skills; good organizational ability.
