General Manager – GPO Services
Job Description
Lead the strategic direction and operational execution for three distinct Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) serving health systems, pharmacies, and community clinics. Drive member value, ensure contract compliance, and enhance financial performance across all GPO portfolios. Optimize business processes, lead complex supplier negotiations, and foster cross-functional collaboration to achieve operational, commercial, and financial KPIs. Manage large, complex accounts, develop strategies to maximize contract utilization across various care settings, and ensure consistent, efficient execution across internal teams and GPO models. Develop and implement enterprise-aligned strategies across three GPOs serving health system, pharmacy, and community clinic markets. Serve as the primary executive liaison for multiple GPOs, health systems, pharmacy organizations, community clinics, and key external stakeholders. Oversee overall financial performance across the three GPOs, including revenue, margin, and economic value delivered to members. Establish, track, and report on KPIs to ensure consistent performance and transparency across portfolios.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred. 2. Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in healthcare, supply chain, or GPO environments. 3. Demonstrated expertise in GPO operations, RFP processes, and complex contract negotiation. 4. Proven ability to lead multi-portfolio or multi-entity businesses with diverse customer segments. 5. Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance management. 6. Excellent executive communication, influencing, and presentation skills. 7. Ability to lead teams within a matrixed environment. 8. Willingness to travel up to 50%.
