Full Stack Developer

Job Description

Join our team as a Full Stack Developer and contribute to the enhancement of our PHP-based WordPress platforms. You'll be instrumental in developing and maintaining these platforms, with a focus on building and extending custom Gutenberg blocks for editorial and UI enhancements. Your responsibilities will include developing React-based front-end features and interactive components. Collaborate on database design, query optimization, and caching strategies. Play an active role in code reviews, contributing to the improvement of engineering standards. Work closely with product, editorial, and SEO teams to deliver high-quality features. Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and developer tooling. Aid in improving performance, scalability, and maintainability across our platforms.

Qualifications

1. Possess a strong grasp of OOP principles and clean code practices. 2. Have experience building custom WordPress themes and plugins. 3. Demonstrate experience developing custom Gutenberg blocks. 4. Exhibit the ability to write maintainable, scalable backend code. 5. Show solid knowledge of the WordPress ecosystem, including hooks & filters, WP REST API, custom post types & taxonomies, and performance optimization techniques. 6. Possess experience building production-ready React applications using functional components, hooks, and state management. 7. Exhibit the ability to create responsive and reusable UI components. 8. Have experience with MySQL / MariaDB, coupled with a good understanding of query optimization, database performance, and caching layers such as Redis and WordPress transients. 9. Be comfortable with Git workflows, deployment pipelines, Docker, Composer, and NPM.
