Freelance Graphic Designer – Title Treatment Localization, Norwegian/Danish
Job Description
We are seeking a Freelance Graphic Designer to recreate English title images (logos) with expertise in Norwegian and Danish. In this role, you will design visually compelling and culturally appropriate localized titles and logos for TV shows and movies. You will create both 2D and 3D graphics from scratch based on detailed specs and briefs. Additionally, you will provide consultation on designs that resonate with the target market and manage your workflow through JIRA, the project tracking system.
Qualifications
1. Must be a native speaker of Norwegian or Danish. 2. Possess a strong understanding of cultural nuances and design preferences. 3. Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in graphic design and typography. 4. Demonstrate expertise in handling different language scripts (e.g., CJK, Cyrillic, Arabic) and their layout challenges. 5. Be aware of text expansion/contraction and its impact on spacing and readability. 6. Have familiarity with right-to-left (RTL) and vertical text layouts for languages such as Arabic, Hebrew, and Japanese. 7. Required software proficiency: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and JIRA (access provided). 8. An internet connection with a minimum speed of 2 Mbps up and down (4 Mbps preferred). 9. Proficiency in 3D modeling and texturing using Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, or Cinema 4D. 10. Experience working with localized fonts and scripts in a 3D space. 11. Knowledge of rendering engines such as V-Ray, Arnold, Redshift, or Eevee. 12. Strong understanding of UV mapping and texturing workflows for localized title assets. 13. Ability to handle 3D file formats including FBX, OBJ, and GLTF. 14. Ability to adapt and redesign iconography to suit different cultural contexts. 15. Strong attention to detail in maintaining brand consistency across localized assets.
