Fractional CFO – Chief Financial Officer

Job Description

We're looking for a Fractional CFO to lead fund accounting and LP reporting, manage treasury and insurance. You'll partner closely with the investment team on capital formation, spin-outs, cap table mechanics, follow-on financings, and equity issuance. You will also oversee a small finance and accounting team, be the firm's senior financial voice, manage external advisors, maintain portfolio cap tables, and drive venture compliance and governance.

Qualifications

1. Experience: A minimum of 8 years in finance leadership, ideally with venture capital or private equity exposure. 2. Deal fluency: Comfortable negotiating investment documents, understanding SAFEs, and cap tables. 3. Fund accounting and LP reporting: Familiarity with fund mechanics, NAV, capital calls, and quarterly reporting. 4. Compliance and tax: Ability to manage corporate compliance, sales tax, and external advisors. 5. Operating discipline: Enjoys recurring financial rhythms like monthly close and quarterly LP packages. 6. Team leadership: Experience managing finance teams and external partners, with a focus on coaching and improvement. 7. Builder's bias: Comfortable with ambiguity and a wide range of responsibilities. 8. Credentials: CPA required; MBA, CFA, or JD/tax background is a plus.
