Flight Deck Leader – Engineering
Job Description
Join GE Aerospace as a Flight Deck Leader, collaborating with the Technology & Engineering leadership team to advance FLIGHT DECK implementation. You will coach and develop lean skills across all levels, guiding problem-solving, daily management, and Hoshin Kanri for engineering objectives. This role involves driving lean practices to enhance product safety and design quality, establishing standard work and visual management for safety risk mitigation, and enabling value-stream thinking across engineering departments. You will also promote model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and integrate FLIGHT DECK into long-range technology roadmaps, improving throughput and learning cycles.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university. 2. At least 5 years of experience leading Manufacturing, Engineering, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Services, Digital, Commercial, and/or Profit & Loss. 3. Proven experience in leading teams while driving change in engineering, product development, or technology organizations. 4. Knowledge of applying lean principles in engineering and technical environments. 5. Experience with Lean Transformation, Principles, and Tools. 6. Ability to influence without direct authority. 7. Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
