Financial Analyst – Government Accounting
Job Description
Become a vital part of the RTX team as a Financial Analyst. This role involves preparing and supporting the Forward Pricing Rate Proposal (FPRP) and negotiating rates into the Forward Pricing Rate Agreement (FPRA). You will maintain compliant cost accounting practices, ensuring adherence to Cost Accounting Standards Board (CASB) Disclosure Statements. Responsibilities include translating performance accounting to government cost accounting, developing and analyzing actual rates, and preparing the annual Incurred Cost Submission. As a key interface, you'll collaborate with the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) on topics such as forward pricing rates, billing rates, and audits.
Qualifications
1. Requires a University Degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience. 2. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is essential. 3. Strong analytical skills are needed to summarize analyses effectively and communicate at various levels. 4. Must have experience balancing multiple priorities and delivering quality work within specified timeframes. 5. Experience in supporting both internal and external audits is required. 6. Familiarity with Microsoft Access, SAP Hyperion, and/or OneStream is highly preferred. 7. Knowledge of relevant Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) cost principles is necessary. 8. Prior experience with DCAA and DCMA is beneficial.
