Finance & Controlling Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a Finance & Controlling Manager to oversee our financial operations. Key responsibilities include: * Managing outgoing invoices and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. * Preparing and dispatching invoices based on project milestones. * Monitoring open items and handling independent dunning processes. * Serving as the main point of contact for clients regarding invoice and payment inquiries. * Managing incoming invoices and accounts payable to maintain a structured document workflow. * Reviewing, categorizing, and posting incoming invoices. * Maintaining and reconciling accounts payable. * Addressing supplier queries related to payments and billing. * Performing daily bank reconciliations and processing payment transactions. * Communicating with banks on various financial matters. * Maintaining liquidity forecasts. * Conducting independent cost analyses to identify variances and propose optimizations. * Preparing profit-and-loss statements (P&L), cost overviews, and key metrics for management. * Collaborating with our external tax/accounting firm, providing necessary documents and clarifications. * Contributing to the improvement of accounting and reporting processes. * Working with our automation team to digitize financial workflows. * Suggesting process improvements for efficiency and effectiveness. * Supporting preparatory payroll accounting in coordination with the tax advisor and HR.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following: 1. Completed commercial training, ideally as an accountant, tax clerk, or equivalent. 2. Experience in financial accounting or controlling. 3. Proficiency in accounting software (DATEV) and ERP systems. 4. Understanding of business metrics and profit & loss (P&L) structures. 5. Structured and conscientious working style. 6. Proactive communication skills to address issues promptly. 7. Basic knowledge of preparatory payroll accounting is a plus.
