Field Service Technician II
Job Description
As a Field Service Technician, you'll journey to customer locations daily for troubleshooting, hands-on repairs, warranty services, routine maintenance, and the setup of new equipment. Offer remote technical support to key customers. Assist end-users starting up new machines with Nordson Packaging systems from OEMs. Prepare detailed Corrective Action Reports for all warranty-related concerns. Lead both formal and informal training sessions. Deliver prompt, precise service reports after each customer visit. Maintain current records of customer-installed equipment for our database through audits. Report equipment performance feedback from customers to your Field Service Supervisor. Collaborate with sales, supervisors, and team members to find sales opportunities or capture customer feedback. Promote aftermarket parts and services, such as the TrueBlue PM Program, to customers. Engage in continuous training on our product offerings.
Qualifications
1. A college degree in a technical field is favored. 2. Comprehensive mechanical and electrical expertise. 3. Proficiency in pneumatic and hydraulic systems and components. 4. Ability to interpret manuals, parts catalogs, component diagrams, and electrical and hydraulic schematics. 5. Experience with common tools (e.g., multi-meters). 6. Comfort with high-temperature, high-pressure, and high-voltage (240VAC – 480VAC) equipment. 7. Willingness to work independently on-site. 8. Aptitude for upselling new products. 9. Effective communication abilities, both spoken and written. 10. Strong computer skills: MS Office, Outlook, MS Teams, Concur, SAP, SAP C4C, etc.
