Field Service Technician

Job Description

Join our team as a Field Service Technician and play a crucial role in providing on-site service and repair for truck-mounted equipment on railroad service vehicles. Operating within an assigned geographical service area using a company vehicle, you'll diagnose problems through communication with customers and execute necessary repairs and modifications. This role demands problem-solving skills with minimal supervision. Your insights and suggestions for continuous improvement of trucks will be highly valued, contributing directly to our operational excellence.

Qualifications

1. Requires a minimum of 3 years of hands-on mechanical experience. 2. Operate within the 100-air mile radius. 3. Demonstrate automotive troubleshooting skills. 4. Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, and/or pneumatics is a plus. 5. Possess a positive attitude and strong work ethic. 6. Must have reading skills to utilize service manuals of equipment. 7. Welding and cutting torch experience is preferred. 8. Hold a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record. 9. Successfully pass a background check, drug test, and DOT physical.
