Field Service Engineer
Job Description
Join Medtronic as a Field Service Engineer and play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our advanced medical equipment. This position involves installing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and modifying equipment at customer and field locations. You'll analyze product performance, troubleshoot malfunctions, and implement upgrades while maintaining effective communication with customers. Provide onsite training to customer support personnel and contribute to our commitment to excellence in healthcare technology.
Qualifications
1. Requires a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. 2. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent (United States). 3. Vocational or technical education or certification (all other countries). 4. Relevant experience in clinical field service or clinical customer support experience. 5. Bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering, engineering, or technology field (Nice to Have). 6. Experience with robotics or motion control (Nice to Have). 7. Previous experience as Technician/Field Services within the medical device industry (Nice to Have). 8. Experience with anatomy, surgical protocol, and medical terminology (Nice to Have). 9. Ability to troubleshoot with technical skills, creativity, and high discipline (Nice to Have). 10. Familiarity with most used test equipment (Nice to Have). 11. Ability to read and understand schematics and engineering drawings (Nice to Have). 12. Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easy-to-understand manner (Nice to Have). 13. Responsive problem solver and action-oriented in resolving customer issues and meeting customer requirements (Nice to Have). 14. Performed troubleshooting and repairs on medical devices (Nice to Have). 15. Ability to apply engineering principles such as electrical, mechanical, thermodynamic, and biomedical to troubleshooting without complete technical documentation (Nice to Have). 16. Excellent English writing and verbal communication skills (Nice to Have).
