Field Service Engineer

Job Description

As a Field Service Engineer, you'll conduct inspections, fine-tune equipment, perform operational audits, and execute pre-commissioning tests on boilers and environmental systems, either independently or alongside experienced engineers. Responsibilities include: - Gathering and assessing field data. - Collaborating with clients, account managers, vendors, and subcontractors, guided by senior engineers. - Writing detailed technical reports, including service and specialized assessments. - Participating in commissioning teams for project start-ups. - Conducting on-site evaluations such as boiler inspections, condition assessments, and operational reviews. - Delivering technical support for construction and managing outages. - Preparing cost estimates and proposals for equipment enhancements.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have: 1. A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED, a Vocational/Technical degree, or an Associate’s Degree, or at least 8 years of relevant experience. 2. Proven problem-solving capabilities. 3. Willingness and ability to travel frequently. 4. Decision-making skills with minimal supervision. 5. Ability to assess equipment needs, perform site inspections, and evaluate equipment functionality. 6. Skill in troubleshooting equipment issues at customer sites.
