Field Sales Account Executive – Construction Industry
Job Description
Be in the field daily, visiting contractor offices, job sites, and municipal projects. Prospect and build your own pipeline through cold outreach, referrals, events, and site visits. Deliver tailored in-person demos focused on real operational needs. Cultivate relationships at all levels, including owners, project managers, superintendents, and dispatchers. Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to contract signing. Represent Civalgo at industry events, trade shows, and associations. Maintain your pipeline in HubSpot with discipline. Provide market feedback to the team. Strategically plan your week and territory with full autonomy.
Qualifications
1. 5-7+ years of proven success in field sales within construction, industrial, infrastructure, or similar sectors. 2. Strong track record of building a pipeline from scratch and closing new business. 3. Excellent in-person communication and relationship-building abilities. 4. Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and willingness to travel extensively in Ottawa. 5. Experience selling construction technology, equipment, materials, or SaaS solutions. 6. Knowledge of heavy civil, infrastructure, and municipal environments. 7. Existing network within the Ottawa contractor ecosystem. 8. Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
