Field Auto Appraiser

Job Description

Become a Field Auto Appraiser and play a vital role in our claims process. You'll be inspecting and appraising damaged property, primarily automobiles, either in person or virtually, based on the needs of each assignment. This includes creating detailed repair estimates using industry-standard software like Audatex/Qapter, CCC One, and Mitchell. Determine whether repair or total loss is the appropriate path, collaborating with adjusters, repair facilities, and policyholders to verify losses and resolve any disputes. Ensuring compliance with all state regulations, company guidelines, and ethical standards is key, along with maintaining accurate records. You'll stay informed about Texas repair laws, materials pricing, and appraisal practices.

Qualifications

1. High school diploma or equivalent is required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree is preferred. 2. Possess 2+ years of experience in property or auto damage appraisal, preferably in a P&C insurance setting. 3. Must have a presentable and reliable vehicle suitable for daily field work (mileage reimbursement provided). 4. Should have Florida All-Lines Adjuster License (or ability to obtain within 60 days). 5. Must be proficient with estimating software such as CCC One, Audatex, Xactimate, or similar. 6. Strong knowledge of Texas insurance and repair laws is required. 7. Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills are essential. 8. Have a valid driver's license and ability to travel within assigned territory. 9. Proficiency in claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite is a plus. 10. Possess the ability to manage a high volume of cases with attention to detail and accuracy. 11. Should have strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
