Field Applications Engineer – Vision Systems

Job Description

As a Field Applications Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support to customers using vision systems. This includes addressing inquiries about CMOS image sensors, FPGAs, and imaging SoCs. You'll assist with system integration, troubleshoot issues, and optimize imaging solutions. Conducting on-site and remote technical training sessions for customers and partners is also a key part of the role. You'll collaborate closely with customers to understand their unique application needs and develop tailored solutions to meet those requirements. You will also support the design, development, and testing of custom applications and solutions. Maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of the product portfolio, including all technical aspects, is essential. The role involves building and nurturing strong relationships with key customers to ensure their satisfaction.

Qualifications

1. Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (a Master’s degree is preferred). 2. Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a field applications engineering role or similar, with a focus on vision systems. 3. Have in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with CMOS image sensors, FPGAs, and imaging SoCs. 4. Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues effectively. 5. Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. 6. Be self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote setting. 7. Be willing to travel within North America as needed.
