Export Compliance Manager

Job Description

Contribute to the development and execution of Defense export control processes, work instructions, and control plans. Work together and keep good relationships with other groups. Share export control plans and policies with project staff. Make documentation for self-assessment of classification. Take the lead in creating effective policies and procedures to improve export control compliance. Get ready and apply for export licenses and/or commodities jurisdiction. Set up documentation for shipping hardware and/or exporting software and technical data. Give training to research community members about export control compliance. Check export control cases for projects (hardware, software, and technical data) and give stakeholders a clear path forward. Check potential sponsors, contractors, and visitors for restricted party compliance. Help with agreement negotiation for export control language and compliance. Teach new researchers, employees, and project staff about export policies and rules. Cooperate with the IT department to create and put in place right policies.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree is a must; Master's Degree is desirable. 2. 3-5 years of experience in Export compliance and/or international trade frameworks. 3. Know-how with international export compliance, US Export Administration Regulations, International Traffic in Arms Regulations, and/or other trade frameworks. 4. Experience with audits and trainings for staff on export regulations. 5. Experience in licensing, documentation, and international shipments. 6. Certified Export Compliance Professional certification (CECP) is preferred. 7. An equal education and experience may be considered. 8. Pass background check
