Events Manager
Job Description
Manage and cultivate the events calendar by developing a comprehensive program of owned brand events from initial concept to successful execution. Ensure that each event is aligned with key commercial moments and customer milestones. Collaborate closely with the Sales team to create event experiences that drive new pipeline, expedite deals, and ensure thorough, high-quality follow-up post-event. Oversee and optimize our presence at third-party events, including branded booths and sponsorships, focusing on ROI. This involves briefing sales teams, handling logistics, and accurately measuring lead capture and pipeline contribution. Partner with Customer Success to deliver event experiences that strengthen customer relationships, support retention, and foster opportunities for expansion. Establish community and advocacy programs to engage champions, identify speakers and case studies, and broaden our influence through advocates. Define and monitor critical metrics such as pipeline influence, deal acceleration, retention impact, and customer NPS. Utilize data to refine the program and justify investment. Demonstrate exceptional creative leadership in shaping how Primer is represented, from experience design to brand expression, ensuring each event is distinctive and impactful.
Qualifications
1. 5+ years of experience in events or field marketing, preferably in a B2B SaaS or tech environment. 2. Proven success in managing both owned brand events and sponsored activations from start to finish. 3. Strong commercial mindset, focusing on pipeline generation rather than just headcount or attendance. 4. Creative with a keen eye for detail, emphasizing the quality of the experience as much as the logistical aspects. 5. Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, comfortable working with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams. 6. Robust project management skills, capable of managing multiple events simultaneously. 7. Confident communicator, able to influence internal stakeholders and build external relationships with vendors and partners. 8. Data-driven, proficient in using CRM and marketing analytics tools to measure and report on event impact.
