Enrolled Actuary

Job Description

As an Enrolled Actuary, you'll provide consulting and compliance services for defined benefit plans. Your responsibilities include: 1. Reviewing and signing government filings such as Form 5500 with Schedule SBs, PBGC premiums, and 8955-SSA. 2. Conducting annual regulatory compliance testing for complex plans. 3. Reviewing and communicating actuarial valuation results. 4. Ensuring timely completion of tasks to meet client requirements and departmental standards. 5. Delivering participant annual funding notices and actuarial AFTAP certifications. 6. Providing benefit calculations and projected benefit estimates, including QDROs, RMDs, and in-service distribution benefits. 7. Utilizing various software applications to efficiently complete client assignments. 8. Serving as a technical resource to Actuarial Analysts. 9. Applying strong technical knowledge of ERISA requirements. 10. Consulting on significant plan sponsor decisions like plan updates, plan terminations, and funding requirements. 11. Developing proposal illustrations for new plans or proposed plan changes. 12. Preparing and submitting plan termination filings such as PBGC 500 and 501 or IRS Form 5310. 13. Addressing audit inquiries.

Qualifications

1. Enrolled Actuary certification (or nearing enrollment). 2. Over 5 years of experience in defined benefit plan administration. 3. Passion for client service. 4. Preferred: FT Williams valuation software experience. 5. 1+ year of small plan sales projection experience
