DWDM Transmission Analyst

Job Description

We are looking for a DWDM Transmission Analyst to manage the deployment, activation, and scaling of DWDM networks in metro, backbone, and DCI environments. You will configure, commission, and test optical equipment, including transponders, muxponders, FOADM, OADM, ROADMs, and amplifiers. You will also conduct optical testing and link validation to ensure optimal network performance. This role requires collaboration with vendors and internal teams to troubleshoot issues and maintain accurate technical documentation. Qualifications

1. Degree in Telecommunications Engineering/Technologist, Electrical Engineering, Computer Networks, or a related field. 2. Practical experience with DWDM networks and optical technologies. 3. Understanding of ROADM architectures and Flex Grid concepts. 4. Experience with DWDM equipment from vendors such as Nokia, Huawei, Ciena, Infinera, Padtec, ZTE, or similar. 5. Knowledge of OTN and Ethernet transport, optical modules, patch cords, and connector polishing. 6. Experience with optical measurement tools (OTDR, OSA, power meter). 7. Ability to interpret technical projects and network diagrams.
