Due Diligence Analyst

Job Description

As a Due Diligence Analyst, you will: - Conduct onboarding and periodic Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews on consumer accounts. - Perform intermediate to complex analysis leveraging your knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations. - Analyze research using the Internet and AML Tools like Lexis Nexis. Review press or media for adverse information regarding customers. - Update customer profiles using internal CRM tools. - Interact with compliance operations, investigations, fraud, and other second-line defenses for potential case escalations. - Assist in recommending improvements for internal processes, including forms/checklists, data collection methods, analyses, and reporting to Uphold Compliance leadership. - Efficiently manage work to meet production goals and project deliverables. - Work collaboratively in a team environment. - Support the Uphold Compliance Department with ad-hoc projects and reviews as needed.

Qualifications

To succeed as a Due Diligence Analyst, you'll need: 1. A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university. 2. Fluency in English. 3. At least two years of AML/KYC/OFAC compliance experience at a bank, broker-dealer, or Fintech company. 4. The ability to work independently, take initiative, and adapt to change. 5. Strong quality, delivery, and customer service orientation. 6. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. 7. Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills. 8. Excellent attention to detail. 9. Bonus points for Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) or Certified Financial Crime Specialist (CFCS) designation. 10. Prior experience working at a startup in FinTech/Crypto. 11. Working knowledge of ZenDesk, Veriff, Jira, or similar tools. 12. Working knowledge of data manipulation, gathering insights, and analysis. 13. Availability for occasional work outside normal business hours to communicate with the U.S. team. 14. Ability to comprehend multiple languages when conducting documentation review.
