District Manager, Commercial Sales

Job Description

Lead and develop a high-performing sales team as a District Manager at Cohesity. Define and execute Cohesity's territory strategy to achieve short-term and long-term goals, objectives, and quotas for sales managers and their teams. Recruit a direct sales management team and ensure the successful hiring, development, and management of a tiered sales team. Balance team leadership with customer-facing interactions. Collaborate with the extended sales team (including SE Manager, PSO Manager, Inside Sales Manager, Channel Manager, Recruiting, etc.) to generate new business opportunities.

Qualifications

1. Possess 10+ years of experience managing 6+ direct sales reports in a fast-paced, competitive sales environment. 2. Proven ability to lead a horizontal, extended resource team in support of the direct sales team. 3. Extensive experience directly and indirectly negotiating large 7-figure deals with sophisticated terms, conditions, price pressures, and considerations. 4. Demonstrated history of working directly and indirectly with OEMs to build strategic and concerted sales campaigns. 5. Experience coordinating with multifunctional teams (Systems Engineers, Inside Reps, Field Marketing, Professional Services, and Channel Management) to ensure target quotas are achieved and exceeded. 6. Self-starter who takes initiative and works with limited direction. 7. Highly trusted individual who maintains and expects high standards for self and team. 8. BA/BS degree or higher. 9. Ability to travel 50%+ of the time.
