Director, Program Management
Job Description
Spearhead senior program management and offer strategic direction for drug development programs. Ensure alignment across functions, coordinate planning, and deliver key oncology pipeline milestones on time. Act as a strategic partner to the Program Global Product Leader (GPL), proactively anticipating program needs and designing scalable team processes. Own and drive the integrated program plan, leading program teams through regulatory submissions and portfolio-level decision points. Organize and facilitate Global Product Team meetings, maintaining timelines and deliverables across all components of program plans. Identify key dependencies, risks, and issues, driving mitigation strategies and contingency planning. Maintain dashboards for program status and facilitate communications to align priorities. Partner with Portfolio Management for integration with portfolio strategy. Lead preparation for governance reviews and drive change control, documenting scope/timeline changes. Champion consistency of PM practices and contribute to PPM organizational development. Lead additional PPM or enterprise projects, managing stakeholder alignment and status reporting. Manage immediate execution needs and medium-term strategic planning.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field required; advanced degree strongly preferred. 2. 12+ years of biotechnology/pharmaceutical experience with 7+ years of project/program management experience. 3. Experience leading cross-functional teams, driving integrated planning, and milestone execution. 4. Strong strategic thinking and ability to connect program-level activities to corporate objectives. 5. Proven PM fundamentals with the ability to coach and develop these skills in others. 6. Proactive, forward-thinking, and able to anticipate needs in dynamic environments. 7. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across functions. 8. Excellent facilitation and communication skills with demonstrated success influencing at all levels. 9. Highly collaborative with outstanding relationship-building skills. 10. Experience with project/portfolio management tools and systems.
