Director, Product Management – Self-Serve, Platform
Job Description
Drive the strategy, roadmap, and execution of exceptional products that simplify how developers adopt and build on the Chainguard platform. Cultivate a developer-centric platform that fosters integrations and partner growth. Oversee projects from initial concept to launch and beyond, continuously acquiring new customers and refining the product while managing maintenance and support. Analyze and respond to both quantitative and qualitative data, assessing the effectiveness of your team's efforts and adapting strategies as necessary. Collaborate closely with Engineering, Partnerships, Product Marketing, UX, and other cross-functional teams to ensure developers and security professionals can easily adopt our product. Represent Chainguard externally through customer meetings, partner engagements, and industry analyst interactions.
Qualifications
1. Proven experience in recruiting, leading, and developing Product Management teams, with a focus on attracting and retaining top talent. 2. Must have technical acumen, adept at establishing credibility with developers and communicating effectively in their language; prior experience as a developer or success in technical fields such as systems or networks. 3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated through deep customer engagement and ownership of outcomes with hands-on execution and delivery. 4. Demonstrated ability to take initiative and act swiftly, even amidst ambiguity. 5. Capacity to prioritize effectively and concentrate on the most critical tasks.
