Director of Lifecycle Marketing
Job Description
We are looking for a Director of Lifecycle Marketing to drive revenue growth through effective email and SMS strategies. This role involves owning and delivering a significant portion (30–40%+) of the company's total revenue through lifecycle channels. Key Responsibilities: * Drive 30–40%+ of total company revenue through lifecycle channels. * Construct and implement a high-frequency, high-conversion campaign calendar. * Strategically determine the deployment of products, offers, and promotions based on performance data. * Enhance first purchase rates, repeat purchase rates, and subscription conversions. * Collaborate with leadership to define and advance the subscription strategy at a high level. * Boost rebill rates, reduce churn, and improve subscriber LTV. * Spearhead the direct-response messaging strategy across email and SMS. * Take ownership of reporting and performance analysis across lifecycle channels, focusing on revenue per send and per subscriber. * Establish a closed-loop feedback system to translate insights into actionable strategies for testing and scaling. * Create a predictable and repeatable system for revenue generation and optimization.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications: 1. 6–10+ years of experience in lifecycle, CRM, or retention marketing within a DTC CPG or subscription-based business. 2. A proven track record of managing large-scale lists (2–3M+ subscribers) or multiple segmented lists. 3. Demonstrated success in driving 30%+ of company revenue through email/SMS campaigns. 4. In-depth, hands-on expertise in Klaviyo, including flows, segmentation, deliverability, and reporting. 5. A strong background in direct response marketing, with proficiency in copywriting, offer creation, and conversion strategy. 6. Experience in managing subscription performance and optimizing retention strategies. 7. Strong technical fluency, particularly in deliverability best practices. 8. Familiarity with data flows, tracking, and integrations. 9. An analytical mindset with the ability to quickly translate data into actionable strategies. 10. The ability to operate both strategically and tactically, embodying a player-coach approach.
